Bill Haut has served as a trusted adviser, valued legal representative, and respected legal counsel supporting businesses and their objectives as both in-house and outside counsel for over 30 years.
Bill focuses on understanding a business and its legal needs and takes a practical, business-minded approach as general counsel with extensive experience in corporate transactions and commercial matters, employment law and employee benefit matters, and general risk management.
Before joining Densborn Blachly LLP in 2020, Bill served as General Counsel and was a member of the senior leadership team for the largest collegiate licensing company in the United States. As General Counsel, he participated in operational and strategic decisions, in addition to being responsible for all legal matters. As a partner at a Warrick & Boyn LLP in Elkhart, Indiana, for more than 25 years, he represented small and medium-sized businesses ranging from a few to several hundred employees across a variety of industries, including one of largest independent boat builders in the U.S. His legal expertise extends to business matters such as entity formation and structure, succession planning, corporate governance, business transactions, and general business counseling. Bill is experienced counseling clients on mergers and acquisitions; customer and vendor relationships; real estate transactions; human resource and employee benefits policies, procedures, training, and management; lender relationships; risk management efforts relating to employment matters, commercial transactions, and general business operations; and dispute resolution.
